Project Narrative
Guided by the Planetree philosophy, these healthcare spaces are designed to feel welcoming, restorative, and deeply human. Every element—from the use of natural materials to the organization of circulation—was chosen to reduce stress, foster dignity, and support healing.
Natural light floods lobbies and corridors, reinforcing a sense of openness and connection to the outside world. Wood detailing, stone accents, and stained glass lend warmth and familiarity, softening the clinical environment into one that feels more like a hospitality or community setting. Seating is varied and flexible, accommodating private moments of reflection as well as opportunities for families to gather together.
Clear wayfinding and visual transparency make the environment intuitive, reducing anxiety for patients and visitors navigating the facility. Water features, custom art, and organic textures provide moments of calm, reinforcing the idea that healing extends beyond medical treatment into the quality of the environment itself.
The result is a series of spaces that embody Planetree principles—comfort, empowerment, and connection—transforming the hospital experience into one that places the human spirit at the center of care.
